Terms of Service

CTFO ("we", "us") operates the website at ctfo.uk. The service is provided as is. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

You must be 16 or older to create an account. By signing up you confirm you meet this age requirement. Accounts found to belong to users under 16 will be deleted.

• You're responsible for your account and anything posted from it
• Keep your password private, don't share access
• One account per person, no impersonation
• We may suspend or ban accounts that break these terms or the Rules

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting it on CTFO you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and share it on the platform.

Posts and replies are public. Anything you make available on CTFO can be seen, quoted, archived and reported by other users and moderators.

The two hard lines are spelled out in full on the Rules page. In short:

• No misinformation, false claims of fact that are verifiably wrong
• No illegal content, including pornography, CSAM, incitement to violence, doxxing, fraud, threats or anything else unlawful under UK law

Breaking either rule may result in a pin (with public verdict and sources), content removal, restrictions, suspension or a permanent ban.

Logged-in users can send private 1:1 text messages. DMs are stored encrypted at rest. We do not scan, read or train on them. The exceptions, in which a moderator can decrypt content, are: a report from a participant, a valid UK legal request naming the account, or a credible imminent threat to life. The Rules in section 5 apply to DMs the same as to public posts. Harassment, threats, illegal content and fraud will be actioned the same way, including content removal, account restrictions, suspension or a ban.

Moderators review reports and decide whether content stays, gets pinned with sources, or gets removed. Pins are reserved for verifiably false statements of fact. Opinions, hot takes, predictions and beliefs are not pinned.

You can appeal a moderator's decision via the contact form using the Pin or ban appeal category, with counter-sources attached. Verified counter-evidence results in the pin being removed.

The service is provided "as is" with no warranties. We don't guarantee uptime, data retention or that any specific content stays available.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can terminate your account if you break these terms or the Rules.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be flagged in-app.
